Vladimir Putin is the Russian dictator-like president who served as the President of Russia from 2008 to 2014 and as Prime Minister of Russia from 1999 to 2007. He is also a musician, particularly skilled at the piano and the guitar. He became one of the best-selling Russian musicians, alongside his future successor as president, Natalia Poklonskaya, though his record sales paled in comparison as he was not seen "as much of a babe".
Putin has often performed piano and guitar at various high profile events across the country, and at several global events. Kim Jong-Chul invited Putin to join Juche as a backup musician, which led to him befriending Kim Jong-Un.
Putin is a fan of The Rutles, and met Dirk McQuickly while Dirk was touring Moscow. He attended the wedding of Dirk and Natalia Poklonskaya in 2003, and the funeral of Ron Nasty in 2019.
