Laura Palmer

Laura Palmer (portrayed by Sheryl Lee) was based on Laura McQuickly

Twin Peaks is a 1990 concept album by Dirk McQuickly and David Lynch. The album tells the story of the FBI investigation into the murder of a popular teenage girl named Laura Palmer (based on Dirk's daughter Laura McQuickly), told mainly from the perspective of Special Agent Dale Cooper.

The album was well-received commercially, becoming Dirk's best-selling album since The Dirk Side of the Moon. The success of the album inspired Lynch to adapt the album's story into a television series, which starred Kyle MacLachlan as Dale Cooper and Sheryl Lee as Laura Palmer. Dirk made a cameo appearance in the series as an FBI Agent who told Cooper to "always look on the bright side of life."
