The Quarrelmen was the first band formed by Ron Nasty and Dirk McQuickly after they first meet on 43 Egg Lane in 1959. It was a difficult relationship, even from the start. By the time the band had started, The Quarrelmen had already fallen out three times, twice with each other and once through a window. Soon, Stig O'Hara joined the band, and within a short few years the Quarrelmen had transitioned into The Silver Rutles. [1][2]
