In the United States, Rutle Soul was the tenth album by the group and their first to consist entirely of original songs. It was released on 6 December 1965 by Capatal, in both the mono and stereo formats. The American edition differed markedly from its British counterpart. Four tracks were removed and set aside for the next American album, Tommorow and Today: "(Stevie You Can't) Drive My Car", "[[Questionnaire]]", "What Goes Ron" and "If I Needed Some Lunch". These were replaced with two tracks from the UK Ouch! album: "I've Just Seen a Chase" and "It's Only Lunch". "[[Mr. Sheene]]" also includes a false start at the beginning. The total time was 29:05, nearly seven minutes shorter than the British version.
