"Death Cab for Cutie" was the name of a single released in 1961 by Tony Sheridan and the Rut Brothers, who would later change their name to The Rutles. The group met Sheridan while performing at Der Rat Keller, and eventually scheduled a recording session with him. The record was released but only became renowned after the rise of Rutlemania.
The A-side to the record was "My Ronnie," which is typically more remembered.
