The Rutles Back In '64

Back in '64 is a love song by The Rutles, written by Ron Nasty, and released on Let It Rot. It was released in 1996 on Archaeology.

It was, in some ways, a retrospective on the entire Rutles era, beginning with the singer telling his grandchildren about the 1960s, leading into a triumphant celebration of his glory years, and finally a whistful crescendo, saying "goodbye" to times which have passed. Alongside Imitation Song, Nasty's final composition, it represents the long look at his life Ron Nasty took while in total isolation.
