A Hoot and Some Tea Back in '03 is a bootleg CD of a private "jam session" between Ron Nasty and Sir Dirk McQuickly which took place in 2003. The recording, performed for a small group, was the first time that the pair performed together after The Rutles breakup.
In the recording, the pair sing Let's Be Natural, which then transitions into Shangri-La. This is notable because McQuickly had no involvement in the latter song, created for Archaeology in 1996, making this the only instance of him performing it. After this, Ron does an encore by himself of Short Blues and Back in '64.
Alongside Dirk, Ron was also accompanied by Rutling Ken Thornton, who was a member of his touring version of The Rutles.
