A Hard Day's Rut was a song released in 1964 by the Rutles. Written by Ron Nasty and credited to Nasty/McQuickly, it featured on the soundtrack to their film of the same name.

• The song was later released as a single, with I Shouldn't Know Better as its B-side.
• It would later be released on the A Hard Day's Rut album.
• Rutallica recorded a thrash version of the song called "A Garage Dayz Rut", whose lyrics reference the songs "Trapped Under Ice" by Metallica and "U Can't Touch This" by MC Hammer.
