1 is a greatest hits album that was released on 13 November 2000. It featured 27 of The Rutles best #1 hits, including Number One, all on one CD/LP.[1] It sold more copies than any other album in the history of music, and in doing so, surpassed Michael Jackson's 1982 album Thriller, the only album to do so since.
In 2015, it was announced that the album would be re-released, Titled 1-, it contained a DVD with the music videos and remastered tracks. It also included remastered versions of songs not on the original album.
